Fantastic museum that tells the story of Denmark's role during the Cold War. You can easily spend a couple of hours on the three ships, and if you're lucky you can also get up to the crane. Visit it now while the volunteer guides can still tell their stories about life in the navy and on the ships.
An outstanding experience, especially for me as a former German Navy sailor to board a NATO Cold War vessel for the first time again after 35 years. I could show my 12yo son what military service was like when I was young.
Thanks so much!
A stunning experience. War and sailing enthusiasts alike will be enamored with the experience: the entire ship can be visited, from the engine rooms to the crew cabins, from the magazines to the weapon systems. You can both explore peacefully on your own or ask for information from the sailor curators; there are also QR codes to get more information over what you're seeing.
Keep in mind, it's really full of tight spaces and steep ladders!

The best museum ship I have seen :) If you ever wondered what a modern big warship has inside, it is for you. You can explore on your own most of the ship, from an ammunition chamber and engines through crew berths, kitchen and jail, up to a bridge and combat information centre.
